This statement of Privacy applies to Lifelong Wellness Goals, LLC (aka Lifelong Wellness Goals), and governs data collection and usage. The Lifelong Wellness Goals website, http://www.lifelongwellessgoals.com (“the Site”) is an online health and wellness site. By using this Site, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information we may collect and how it may be used. This Privacy Policy applies to this Site.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. We will alert you to any changes to this Policy by changing the “last updated” date at the top of this Policy. Any changes become effective immediately upon publication on this Site, and you waive specific notice of any changes to the Policy by continuing to use and access the Site. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically when you use the Site for any purpose or engage with us on social media. You are deemed to have accepted any changes to any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after the revised Privacy Policy is posted.

Information Collection And Use

While using the Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name (“Personal Information”) and email address.

Personal information will generally be collected directly from you through the use of any of our standard forms, over the internet (including via our website), via email, or through a telephone conversation with you.

The personal information that we collect and hold about you depends on your interaction with us. The kinds of information we typically collect include: name, address, email address, phone number, credit or debit card information and/or other information relevant to providing you with the services you are seeking.

Our Site and services are intended for adults ages 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.  If you believe we may have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at taylor@lifelongwellnessgoals.com. We will investigate and take appropriate action within 30 days.  If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you may use our free content and resources, but you may not purchase courses, memberships, or other paid products without the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Log Data

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third party services such as ConvertKit, OptimizePress, and Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this Log Data. Google does use your personal information such as your IP address in order to capture reporting for the Website regarding usage. 

Google Analytics

We use cookies provided by Google Analytics, a third-party service provider, to assist us in better understanding our site visitors.  These cookies collect data tied to a user’s IP address such as the length of time a user spends on a page, the pages a user visits, and the websites a user visits before and after visiting the site.  Based on this information, Google Analytics compiles aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions, which we use to offer better site experiences and tools in the future.  Google Analytics does not collect any personal information. 

You may opt-out of Google Analytics through a Browser Add-on, which is available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Social Media

We may access personal information from social media sites and apps, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest or other social media sites or apps not named specifically here, which may include your name, social network username, location, email address, age, gender, profile picture and any other public information. If you do not want us to access this information, please go to the specific social networking site and change your privacy settings.

Other Data

On occasion, you may give us additional data in order to enter into a contest or giveaway or to participate in a survey. You will be prompted for this information and it will be clear that you are offering this kind of information in exchange for an entry into such a contest or giveaway.

Third Party Processing

We may disclose your information to third parties who assist us with various tasks, including payment processing, hosting services, email delivery and customer service. We may not always disclose these third party processors. We do not authorize them to use or disclose your personal information except in connection with providing our company with their services.

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate our Site and deliver our services. These providers may have access to your personal information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.  Our service providers may include SquareSpace, MightyNetworks, Healthie, Stripe/PayPal, Zoom, and Google Analytics.  

International Transfers. Some of our service providers are located outside of the United States. By using our Site and services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.  We take steps to ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable law and that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

Site Interaction

If you interact with others on the Site, such as participating in a group chat or a group online course, other users may have access to some of your data, including your name, profile picture, and your history of interaction with the Site, such as prior comments or posts. When you post online, your posts may be viewed by others, and we may distribute your comments outside the Site and use your comments for testimonials.

External Links

Our Site may include hyperlinks to other websites not controlled by us. We suggest you exercise caution when clicking on a hyperlink. Although we use reasonable care in including a hyperlink on the Site, We do not regularly monitor the websites of these third parties, and are not responsible for any damage or consequences you suffer by using these hyperlinks.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that is pertinent to the Site. We generally store your data and transmit it to a third party for processing. However, to the extent we process your data, we do so to serve our legitimate business interests. We may also receive email confirmations when you open an email from us. This allows us to determine if users are responding favorably to our email communications and to improve those communications.

Right to Opt-Out. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.  

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CPRA.  

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

We will not sell or rent your personal information. Generally, we disclose your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected (as set out above). We may disclose personal information about you as follows:

  • Third Party Service Providers; service providers, who assist us in operating our business.

  • Related organizations with whom we have affiliations, so that those organizations may provide you with information about services and various promotions.

  • For Required Disclosure: as reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process (including a court or government order or subpoena), and to meet our insurance obligations, to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, to enforce this Privacy Policy, and to protect the rights, property or safety of Company, our users, and/or the public.

In some circumstances, we may use or disclose personal information for other purposes (for instance, where you would reasonably expect us to and the purpose is related to the purpose of collection).

Accessing and Correcting Personal Information

If you believe the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please notify us immediately using the contact details below. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate, complete and up to date.

Health and Sensitive Information

Our Site is focused on nutrition, wellness, and healthy eating habits. In the course of using our services, you may voluntarily share health-related information with us, such as dietary restrictions, health conditions, or wellness goals.  We treat any health-related information you share with us with heightened care. We do not: - Sell your health information to third parties; - Use your health information for advertising targeting; - Share your health information with any third party except as necessary to provide you with the services you have requested (e.g., our course platform provider).  Health information you voluntarily share in community forums is visible to other community members. Please use discretion when sharing personal health details in any group setting.  If you are participating in individual nutrition counseling services with Taylor Deacon, RD, any health information collected in that context is governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices provided to you as part of the intake process.

Data Security and Breach Notification

We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.  However, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately at taylor@lifelongwellnessgoals.com.  In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable state and federal law. Notification will be provided via email to the address associated with your account and/or via a prominent notice on the Site. We will also notify relevant regulatory authorities as required by law.  Michigan residents: In accordance with Michigan's Identity Theft Protection Act (MCL 445.63), we will notify Michigan residents of any security breach involving their personal information without unreasonable delay.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the last updated date above and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with United States law. Any dispute arising out of or related to the information contained herein is subject to adjudication in the county of Ionia, state of Michigan, United States.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional terms apply to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or applicable local law.  Legal Basis for Processing. We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to deliver courses, memberships, or other products you have purchased;

  • Legitimate interests: to improve our Site, send you relevant content, and prevent fraud;

  • Consent: for marketing communications and non-essential cookies, where we have obtained your consent;

  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law.  Your Data Rights. If you are in the EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;

  • Correct inaccurate personal data;

  • Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten");

  • Restrict or object to our processing of your personal data;

  • Receive your personal data in a portable format;

  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Data Retention. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Specifically: 

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years;

  • Purchase records: retained for 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations;

  • Email marketing data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

International Transfers. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in the EEA. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.  Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the services you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Our general retention periods are: 

  • Account information: For the duration of your account and 2 years following account closure;

  • Purchase and billing records: 7 years from the date of transaction, as required by tax law;

  • Email communications and marketing data: Until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or after 3 years of inactivity;

  • Community posts and user-generated content: Until account deletion is requested, or 2 years after the community membership ends;

  • Website usage data (analytics): Up to 26 months, per Google Analytics data retention settings.
